Maite Cigarán
Communications Manager
Maite has a bachelor’s degree in Communication Science from Universidad de Lima. She specialized in Communication for Development and has a master’s degree in Development and International Relations from Aalborg University in Denmark.
In her career, Maite has developed numerous social awareness and outreach projects on climate change, as well as projects on climate change adaptation and mitigation at the local, national and international level. Furthermore, she has written documents on environmental politics, done research on methodologies for climate change adaptation, implemented strategies for communication and impact, made action plans both at the national and international level, and been responsible for designing communication tools for climate change training.
Maite currently works as communications manager at Libélula, and she is also in charge of coordinating the communication component of Forests in Euroclima+ and the LEDS LAC platform.
