Environmental impact assessment – Carbon Footprint

The carbon footprint measurement is the environmental assessment that quantifies the impact of direct or indirect actions of individuals, organizations, events or products. Measuring the footprint allows organizations to be aware of its impact, as well as calculate the progress made by the strategies implemented to reduce it.

Measuring the footprint has not only environmental but also economic benefits, since detecting activities where energy or other resource is being inefficiently used allows an organization to differentiate itself from the competition, identify opportunities for improvement and reduce costs.
