[1 June - 9:00 am] Meeting: The Role of Youth in Agenda 2030
In this space, representatives of the national and local governments and young people will share what is being done by the different sectors to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030 and how young people are getting involved in this process.
[June 1 - August 3] [June 1 - August 3 British Green Challenge: Recycling campaign
British together with Recycle,pe y Dragonfly Climate Change join forces to collect all PET material from schools in San Isidro, Miraflores, Surco, Monterrico, San Borja, Camacho, San Juan de Lurigancho, Lima, Los Jardines, Pueblo Libre and San Miguel. The center that recycles the most will receive a prize for their dedication and commitment to the care of the environment. Check your center's collection dates at the event and participate in this recycling campaign.
[2 June - 10:00 am] Bicicletea for a Sustainable Mobility
Let's celebrate together the World Bike Day in a tour through the streets of Lima. The tour will have two official starting points, 4 Accompanied Routes and 4 Recommended Routes so that everyone can join according to their district. In addition, you can participate in the fair in Castilla Park where there will be music, workshops, lectures and more. Event organized by the Ministry of Environment, the Municipality of Lima, the Touring and Actibícimo.
[3 June] World Bicycle Day
This day is commemorated to invite States to improve road safety by adopting policies and measures aimed at protecting and actively promoting pedestrian safety and bicycle mobility, in order to achieve broader health outcomes, in particular the prevention of injuries and non-communicable diseases.
[3 June - 08:00 pm] World Bicycle Day" Bike Ride
The collectives bicicommuters, rodando.pe, actibicimo, cicloaxion, among others are organizing a bicycle tour on the occasion of World Bicycle Day. They invite the general public to be part of the transforming force that generates positive changes by riding a bicycle, since this means of transportation helps to combat climate change, pollution and traffic congestion. [June 3 - June 7] [June 3 - June 7 How can we change in the face of Climate Change?
The IDEHPUCP co-organizes with the Institute of Nature, Territory and Renewable Energy Sciences, and the Institute of Natural Sciences, Territory and Renewable Energies, and Climate of Change, The XV Human Rights Meeting “Around the world, how can we change in the face of climate change” will be held at the PUCP campus. Through a series of lectures, workshops and other activities, it seeks to provide an approach to the general knowledge of climate change, its scientific basis, the international responses so far achieved to address it, its main effects on the protection of human rights and the actions of Peru in this regard. Admission is free, with prior registration.

The celebration of this day provides us with an opportunity to broaden the basis for a well-informed public opinion and for the conduct of individuals, companies and communities inspired by a sense of responsibility for the preservation and improvement of the environment. Each World Environment Day focuses on a theme to raise public awareness of a particularly pressing environmental issue. The theme for 2019 revolves around «Air Pollution»; a call to action to help combat a serious problem that affects millions of people around the world.
[8 June] World Oceans Day
We celebrate this day to remind the world of the great role the oceans play in our lives. They are the lungs of our planet, generating most of the oxygen we breathe. It also serves to raise public awareness of the consequences of human activity on the oceans and to launch a global citizens' movement for the oceans. This day aims to mobilize and unite the world's population around the goal of sustainable management of the oceans, which are an important source of food and medicine and an essential part of the biosphere. In short, this celebration is a good reason to celebrate together the beauty, wealth and potential of the oceans.
[11 - 12 June] [11 - 12 June Rural Energy and its contribution to the Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC)
The international event seeks to answer questions such as: What are the access gaps, limitations and conditions in the rural sector that need to be resolved so that the most vulnerable populations can achieve sustainable energy capable of promoting development? What role should the State, academia, international organizations and civil society assume to address and provide solutions to these problems? This meeting is organized by Practical Action and the Institute of Nature Sciences, Territory and Renewable Energies of the PUCP and will include the participation of national and international specialists. Admission is free, with prior registration.
