We highlight the World Bicycle Forum that this year will be held in Lima and will bring together thousands of cyclists who every day change the world by pedaling towards sustainability.

- February 2: World Wetlands Day
We commemorate this date in order to raise awareness among the general public about the importance of wetlands, their values and the benefits they provide to humanity, as well as the Ramsar Convention. Stay tuned to our social networks because we will be providing interesting facts to learn more about wetlands.

On the road to achieving sustainable development goals, transport authorities are looking for innovative solutions to meet the growing demand for mobility and address existing urban mobility problems: pollution, congestion and road safety hazards. It will be broadcast on Facebook Live.
- February 7 at 10:00 a.m. | LEDS LAC Webinar: Landscape restoration: an option for resilient and low emission rural development
This webinar will explain the context and advances in landscape restoration in Central America, as well as the costs, benefits and co-benefits. The case of forest restoration in Guatemala will be presented. Landscape restoration is a process of policies and instruments undertaken as a rural development option to recover the productive capacity of degraded or deforested land that is largely underutilized. This improves agricultural production, generates timber and non-timber forest products and increases the supply of ecosystem services such as water quality, erosion control, cultural values, climate regulation, vulnerability reduction, and others.

The purpose of the seminar is to update attendees and share experiences, knowledge and local technologies on climate change management in the country's companies, as well as to provide training on disaster prevention. This webinar will focus on people and their enormous potential to co-create new ways of understanding the economy to address Climate Change. Participatory and horizontal models in business and models in which resources and goods are shared are increasingly present in our days. We will review the "economy behind the economy" when we share or exchange our time, goods and/or services with others and the impacts this has for people and the planet.

Aimed at: educators, professionals from various disciplines, entrepreneurs, students, all those interested in strengthening their skills on the subject of environmental education and sustainable development. This course is organized by the Peruvian Environmental Observatory and has a cost of S/. 100.oo (includes certificate).

At the end of the course the participant will know the fundamentals and basic concepts of sustainable development and how they should be integrated for sustainable projects as a basis for mitigation and adaptation to global climate change. Location: Proyecto Tierra headquarters in Mexico City.

- February 22-26, 2010 World Bicycle Forum
The World Bicycle Forum (WBF) is the world's largest urban cycling event that brings together citizens, collectives and international networks of bike-activists and citizens interested in the vindication of the use of bicycles in public space, and as part of sustainable mobility in the city. It is a common meeting place for the global urban cycling culture characterized by its horizontality, collaborative relationships and volunteerism. This event generates reflection and raises proposals on: mobility, citizenship, planning, access and sustainability in order to positively impact the destiny of our cities. The forum is organized, designed, managed, carried out and maintained by bike-activists.
