International Seminar: Opportunities for the Private Sector at COP20
The purpose of this seminar was to encourage Peruvian entrepreneurs to use new sustainable models for their businesses, as well as to promote knowledge about new business opportunities and the generation of efficiency/savings within the framework of eco-efficiency and climate change actions. It also sought to promote the exchange of elements that the private sector could contribute on the road to COP 20 and the global agreement in Paris.
The two-day event was attended by around 300 participants, mainly businessmen, and 45 renowned national and international exhibitors and panelists.
The event was inaugurated by the Minister of the Environment and President of COP20, Manuel Pulgar-Vidal; Irene Horejs, Ambassador of the European Union in Peru; and the Vice President of the Lima Chamber of Commerce, Raúl Barrios.
