The purpose of this project is to support the Government of Peru in the implementation of its Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC). To this end, it works in coordination with MINAM, SENAMHI and the regional and local governments in Arequipa, Ucayali and Madre de Dios, generating conditions to meet national adaptation and mitigation goals.

To achieve this, its interventions seek to establish clear institutional agreements, improve capacities, adequate access to funds and information, and empower relevant stakeholders through participatory processes. The aim is to create the so-called “enabling conditions” that make climate action possible.

Who do we do it with?

The project is funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and implemented by South South North (SSN) and Libélula Instituto del Cambio Global, under the direction of MINAM.
