Since 2014, ConexiónCOP has been developing actions to consolidate the role of the Latin American media as key actors for climate action. It seeks to influence the formation of a public and sensitive agenda in the face of climate change.
Why do we do it?
We seek to increase media coverage in Latin America and improve the quality of the information that is disseminated in order to accelerate the required climate action.
Who do we do it with?
ConexiónCOP is jointly articulated thanks to the KONRAD-ADENAUER-STIFTUNG Foundation. It was an initiative initiated within the framework of an agreement with the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) to expand information on climate change negotiations to Latin American countries.
How do we do it?
We inform: We are the first online news agency specialized in climate change and sustainability with free-to-use content for Latin America.
We train: +150 journalists, editors and communicators from Latin America received face-to-face and virtual training thanks to ConexiónCOP.
We form a community: +1,500 journalists and communicators connected in a regional climate action network reaching the most influential champions.
