Lima, August 01, 2022. Starting a business is a decision that is often accompanied by fears, especially if the entrepreneur is a child or adolescent who has all the motivation, but little knowledge about how to start on this path of entrepreneurship.

According to INEI figures, as a result of the pandemic, 55% of Peruvians have an entrepreneurial venture. Likewise, several experts mention that the average age of entrepreneurs in Peru is 28 years old. However, in Europe, the entrepreneurial culture starts at school, which increases the success rate.

Undoubtedly, there is no age for entrepreneurship; however, starting young allows you to learn much better from your mistakes and achieve the results you expect in a better way. Therefore, Scotiabank and Plan International, as part of its program “Forming Entrepreneurs of Tomorrow” provide seven tips for young people to start entrepreneurship in a practical and efficient way.

School entrepreneurship contest:

With the aim of contributing to the promotion of business from schools, Plan International and Scotiabank are promoting the “School Entrepreneurship Contest” aimed at educational institutions in Lima and Piura. This activity will award two schools, one from each region, with a fund of 3,500 soles each in investment materials to continue implementing their entrepreneurship.

In this way, it seeks to benefit schools that cannot be part of the “Forming Entrepreneurs of Tomorrow” program carried out by Scotiabank and Plan International, whose objective is to promote opportunities for entrepreneurship from the classroom.
