March: Weather events not to be missed!
March has begun and we present the events related to climate change that will be held in person and virtually through webinars so that you do not miss a single detail and can get involved in climate action.
All these meetings are very important because they contribute to the construction of the road towards a better climate world.
Events scheduled for March 2017:
- March 3: Conference on Energy Efficiency and Efficient Technology Fair
This Friday, March 3, at 9:00 am, the Energy Efficiency Conference and the Efficient Technologies Fair will be held at the Auditorium of the Ministry of Energy and Mines (Av. De las Artes Sur N° 260, San Borja).

- March 4 and 5: DO it for your beach!
HAZla por tu playa is an initiative of Conservamos por Naturaleza and L.O.O.P. that creates collective actions that seek to positively impact the planet. This Saturday March 4th and Sunday March 5th we will all “do it” for the beach.

- March 21: Líderes+1 Open Talk on Megatrends and Sustainability Concepts for Companies
Get to know the latest megatrends in sustainability and learn how to apply them to your business strategy.
Announcements will be made about the live broadcast of the event on our social networks.
- March 15: Tools for local planning in the face of climate change:
This webinar will present and discuss tools that have been developed by the NGO Adapt-Chile with the support of EUROCLIMA Technical Assistance to support municipalities in the development of local climate change plans. The tools have been validated in workshops with local governments in Argentina, Chile, Costa Rica, Ecuador and Uruguay.

- March 25: Earth Hour
It consists of turning off the lights for one hour, to show that each of us has a positive impact on the fight against climate change. Today, it is the biggest celebration for the planet, which has driven environmental commitments around the world, from the protection of forests to the creation of marine protected areas.
The message to be used this year will be «On this Earth Hour, light up the world with Climate Action» and the hashtag chosen to promote it on social networks is #ActuaPorElClima.
- March 29: Climate Finance in Latin America: A Guide to Accessing Key International Sources
This webinar will present a guide that provides Latin American countries with detailed information on available sources of financing. EUROCLIMA Technical Assistance Thematic Study No. 10, “Climate Finance in Latin America: Guide for accessing the main international sources” provides detailed information on the particular requirements for accessing resources through the main sources active in Latin America. This is expected to support the implementation of climate actions, in particular in the framework of (I)NDCs, by facilitating access to sources operating in the region.
