Libelula gets its fourth star on the platform in Carbon footprint Perupromoted by the Ministry of Environment. This recognition is given to organizations that join the climate action through the management of their greenhouse gases (GHG), thus adding their commitment to a climate responsible country.
The fourth star is the highest official recognition given by the Peruvian government to public and private organizations that, in addition to measuring their greenhouse gas emissions, certify their measurement and reduce and offset their emissions. We are the first consulting firm and B-company to achieve this recognition..
After measuring and certifying our carbon footprint, we reduced our GHG emissions by 79% in 2020 compared to 2019. We achieved this reduction thanks to initiatives such as teleworking and the promotion of sustainable transportation. Subsequently, we neutralized these emissions through the acquisition of carbon credits. "For Libelula, achieving 4 stars in Carbon Footprint Peru is a clear demonstration of our impact and consistency. As a company, we demonstrate that it is possible to decouple growth from CO2 emissions and do our part in the fight against the global climate crisis," said Pia Zevallos, general manager of Libelula.

Carbon Footprint Peru was launched in 2019 in the framework of the executive meeting nexos+1 and currently has more than 700 organizations that have reported their GHG emissions management. The objective of this platform is to contribute to the 30% national goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 2030, which is necessary to keep the increase in the planet's average temperature below 2°C.
