Climate change is a phenomenon that affects everyone in the world. Efforts to prevent the increase of climate change will be Greenhouse Gases (GHG) and in turn to adapt to the people who suffer the consequences of global warming are necessary. In view of this, the following is born Generation+1 a program of Libelula which was created two years ago with the aim of enabling young people to respond in a critical, committed and creative way, with development initiatives and innovative ventures in the face of climate change.
Ambassadors +1
From Generation +1 is born Ambassadors +1a platform that promotes youth participation in the governance of sustainable development, with an emphasis on the national and international climate change agenda.
The program seeks to empower 30 young Latin Americans (20 Peruvians and 10 from Latin America and the Caribbean) with knowledge, skills and opportunities to promote a vision of sustainability oriented towards low-carbon and climate-resilient development. In this way, young people will be able to be actors in decision making and public policies regarding Nationally Determined Contributions and a new global climate agreement, which is expected to be signed during the COP21which will be held in December in France.
