- 03/10 - Responsible Water Management Day - DIAGUA
It calls for the attention of all sectors to work together to improve sanitary conditions and universal access to drinking water.
- 03/10 - Día Mundial del Hábitat
Las Naciones Unidas designaron el primer lunes de octubre de cada año como Día Mundial del Hábitat para reflexionar sobre el estado de nuestros hábitats y sobre el derecho básico de todos a una vivienda adecuada. También tiene la intención de recordar al mundo que todos tenemos el poder y la responsabilidad de moldear el futuro de nuestros hábitats.
- 08/10 - Día Mundial de las Aves Migratorias
It aims to amplify the message about bird conservation. The global scope of the celebrations seeks to raise awareness of the threats migratory birds face, their ecological importance, and the need for international cooperation for their conservation.
- 10/13 - International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction
This day seeks to raise awareness in the States and their inhabitants so that they take measures to reduce the risks derived from natural disasters. The population needs to be prepared to face emergencies and reduce the effects of devastation resulting from floods, droughts, cyclones, earthquakes or eruptions, which are reported in terms of loss of human life and material damage.
- 10/14 - International Day of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment - WEEE
The purpose of this day is to create greater awareness of the need to recycle waste electrical and electronic equipment and the impacts that can be generated by its improper management.
- 24/10 - Día Mundial de Información sobre el Desarrollo
Este día nace para llamar la atención de la opinión pública mundial sobre los problemas del desarrollo y la necesidad de intensificar la cooperación internacional para resolverlos
- 10/31 - World Cities Day
It promotes the importance of equitable and adequate access to basic urban services, as pillars of sustainable urbanization and, therefore, of widespread economic and social development.
