The LAC region could face major impacts from climate change and at the same time, adaptation and mitigation policies can bring opportunities to strengthen regional integration.<\/p>\n<p>This publication is a perspective born from the think tanks of Latin America and the Caribbean, with the participation of countries from different negotiating groups. It seeks to be an important piece towards the creation of new ideas and a bridge between different positions. It belongs to a group of documents that analyze the technical and political issues during the UN Climate Change negotiations, among them those related to Climate Finance in the international framework of Adaptation. It also shows how to support and encourage carbon emission reductions and climate resilient development.<\/p>\n<p>This work module was led by IDDRI, with the support of the Lib\u00e9lula team: Mar\u00eda Paz Cigaran (General Manager of Lib\u00e9lula), Mar\u00eda Elena Guti\u00e9rrez (Research Manager), David Garc\u00eda and Carolina Chambi (Analysts).
