The tenth edition of the Green Awards<\/a> was held in the Galapagos Islands, Ecuador, and recognized the most outstanding projects in sustainability and environmental conservation. On this occasion, Alinti, Pucush Wetland and Peru by Nature <\/strong>won the award in the following categories Renewable Energy, Habitat and Ecosystem Conservation and Sustainable Finance<\/strong>; respectively. In addition, the project YAPAYKUY<\/strong> won the award Tech for Good by AT&T<\/strong>; y Pucush Wetland<\/strong>, won a second award with the Latam Award<\/strong>.<\/p>

Alinti<\/strong>, our winner in Renewable Energy<\/strong>, is an innovative biological energy generation system that uses the photosynthesis of plants and electro-genetic microorganisms to produce electricity continuously 24 hours a day. In addition, it has the capacity to absorb more than 100 kg of CO2 per day for every 15 m2, making it a sustainable and clean solution for energy generation.<\/p>

Another outstanding project was Pucush Wetland<\/strong>, led by Fidel Cueva Hinostroza. This habitat and ecosystem conservation initiative has produced more than 24,000 birds of different species in the area of Chupaca, Peru. Through soil conditioning, the introduction of plants and the protection of the wetland, the project has managed to repopulate the area and promote citizen participation in environmental protection. In addition, Humedal Pucush has had a significant impact on raising awareness among the local population of the importance of caring for and protecting the environment. And it obtained a second special recognition with the Latam Award<\/strong>.<\/p>

The environmental crowdfunding platform of Peru By Nature<\/strong>, developed by PROFONANPE together with its strategic ally SERNANP, has been awarded in the category of \"Best of Show\". Sustainable Finance<\/strong>. The platform focuses on the protection and conservation of the country's Natural Protected Areas (NPAs) through a digital ecosystem that involves citizen participation and sustainable social profitability using different fundraising mechanisms to finance the management and protection of Peru's NPAs. Peru For Nature has received donations that have enabled the implementation of projects that improve the quality of life of the communities that live in them. The initiative is an inspiring example of how technology and citizen participation can contribute significantly to the protection and conservation of the environment and the promotion of financial sustainability.<\/p>

Finally, the project YAPAYKUY<\/strong>, is an application that facilitates communication and inclusion for people with hearing and verbal disabilities, total or partial mute, dysphemia, cerebral palsy and some disorders. It also has a real-time sign language translator, a voice-to-text converter, a sound level meter to identify dangers in noisy places, video calls with a sign language interpreter consultant for job interviews, among others. This project will receive an intensive week of workshops and mentoring with specialists, who will review their business models, develop rapid innovation strategies and refine their sales pitch.<\/p>

This year's winning projects stand out for their innovative approach and commitment to sustainability and environmental protection.
