The RUA Nodo UNALM - Lima, the XVIII Meeting of University and Environment (ENUMA) and the Pyrolysis and Biomass Research Circle invite you to the “Keynote Speech: Non-conventional Renewable Energies in the face of Climate Change, current situation in Peru”, an event that will feature the central participation of Dr. Pedro Gamio Aita, former Vice Minister of Energy and Mines, specialist in energy policies, who also participated as a negotiator in COP 20. UNESCO declared May 17 as World Recycling Day. The date is an opportunity to remember the strategy of reduce, reuse and recycle, which seeks to reorient the behavior of all citizens with a view to improving the environment. Recycling is understood as the process by which a product that has already been used, originally intended for disposal, is processed so that it can be reused, thus reducing the environmental impact of our consumption habits.

Instituted by the Convention on Biological Diversity, to promote public awareness of the value of biodiversity and its contribution to people's quality of life. Peru is among the 17 megadiverse countries on the planet. The decade of biological diversity will be celebrated from 2011 to 2021.
