MARCH 2023

This year, the World Wildlife Day is being held under the theme «Recovering Keystone Species for Ecosystem Restoration» to raise awareness about the status of endangered and critically endangered wildlife species and to highlight the power of ongoing conservation efforts to alter their fate.

On this date, the aim is to raise awareness among the population about the rational use of energy, using it efficiently and promoting renewable energy alternatives.

This is a date to reflect on our consumption habits and the production processes that are being carried out by the industry to produce all the goods that are part of our daily lives.

Forests are fundamental to combating climate change and therefore contribute significantly to the benefit of present and future generations. The theme for 2022 of the International Day is: "Forests: sustainable consumption and production". The slogan is a call to choose sustainable wood for people and the planet.

World Water Day is celebrated every March 22 to remind us of the importance of this essential liquid. Although all social and economic activities depend to a large extent on the supply and quality of freshwater, 2.2 billion people live without access to safe drinking water. This celebration aims to raise awareness of the global water crisis and the need to seek measures to address it so that we can reach the Millennium Development Goals. Sustainable Development Goal No. 6: Water and sanitation for all by 2030.

This date invites us to become aware and take effective actions to mitigate and adapt to global climate change, especially in the most vulnerable activities such as agriculture, livestock, fisheries, industry and mining.

Each year, the Earth Hour gives people around the world the opportunity to show how much they care about nature and help others understand its vital importance in all our lives, as well as the devastating threats to people and the planet. It is a time to reflect, but also to highlight the need for action.
