A breakfast meeting organized by Libélula and Perú 2021 was held to bring together Peruvian entrepreneurs to present Jens Nielsen, CEO of World Climate Limited, who explained the details of the most important annual conference on climate change with a business perspective, the World Climate Summit, to be held in Lima in December 2014.

The breakfast began with a presentation by María Paz Cigarán, general manager of Libélula, who highlighted the importance of the 20th Conference of the Parties (COP20) to be held in Lima from December 1 to 12 this year and how countries will reach commitments to reduce greenhouse gas emissions to curb global warming.

Jens Nielsen then spoke about the importance of companies collaborating with governments and non-governmental organizations to be part of the solution to this global problem. He mentioned that by being part of the WorldClimate Summit, not only do you have a voice, but you also make real commitments and serve as a platform to show progress on the issue.

Jens Nielsen also mentioned the Road to Paris 2015, a business initiative to provide practical and impactful solutions to address climate change, created in 2013 by leading entrepreneurs. For more information on how to be part of this initiative, go to: http://www.wclimate.com/road-to-paris-2015/

He answered the questions of the businessmen regarding the follow-up of the Peruvian private sector proposals during and after COP20 and how companies can contribute to this process.
The breakfast meeting was attended by representatives of the following companies: Pacífico Seguros, Corporación Lindley, Backus, Ferreyros, Sodimac, Odebrecht, BCP, Cálidda, among others.
