This September 12 will mark a milestone in the culture of Peru, the Parque de la Exposición will host the first edition of the “Wiracocha Fest”. This musical event aims to raise awareness about the phenomenon of climate change among young Peruvians.

This series of concerts will feature national and foreign bands, and attendees will be able to learn more about climate change thanks to the exhibition of works created by artists from Tarapoto, including sculptures made from recycled products, as well as paintings with ecological motifs, which will be made live during the festival.

The Wiracocha Fest will feature the presence of acclaimed musical groups. Fourteen Peruvian bands will participate: Mar de Copas, Líbido, Zen, Gaia, Inyectores, 6 voltios, La Mente, Barrio Calavera, Emergency Blanket, Por hablar, Terreviento, Mauser, Kuraka and Trémolo.

Jauría y el Otro Yo (Argentina), Los Rabanes (Panama) and the American grunge band Puddle of Mudd, who will make their debut on a Peruvian stage.

This is the first time a festival of this caliber has been held, where attendees will be able to learn more about the needs of our planet, thanks to the various exhibitions and initiatives that will be carried out by environmental NGOs and ventures designed to mitigate the impact of climate change and other social problems.
