Within the framework of the relaunch of the campaign "Do your part" from MINAMwas installed, the Climate Change Time Machinein the Cáceres Park of San Isidro. Through this installation, made of cardboard, passers-by can learn about the history of our impact on the climate and alternatives to reduce global warming.

The Climate Change Time Machine is an experiential experience. It has a 20-meter long infographic, with photos, diagrams and texts, which explains the past, the present and two future scenarios: one if we continue doing things the same way, with great impacts, and the other if we do things better, with a sustainable scenario in the face of climate change.

This cultural device, along with a module where people can write their commitments to reduce their environmental impact, will be open to the public until June 5. This initiative is part of the activities of the MINAM to engage citizens, companies and civil society in positive actions for the planet.

The re-launching event was attended by Manuel Pulgar - VidalMinister of the Environment; Patrick Pousrepresentative of the French Embassy; Irene Horejsambassador of the European Union; Adolfo HeerenGeneral Manager of Cálidda and the general public.

Do your part has 102 committed organizations and since its creation has carried out 380 events throughout Peru, with the support of 150 volunteers. The projection is that during 2015 the schools and municipalities will assimilate "Do your part" to achieve the goal of 600,000 new pledges, which is this year's target.

"Pon de tu Parte surpassed last year's goal: 427,666 pledges for the climate and this year we hope to add 600,000 more, getting more citizens to commit to making habit changes that improve our relationship with the planet." explained the Minister Manuel Pulgar-Vidalwho led the event.

And now the initiative could be in the COP21 of Paris. Patrick Pousrepresentative of the French Embassysaid that his country will officially join the Do Your Part campaign with the objective of adding commitments during the COP21 this year in Paris. "In Voices for Climate we talked about transferring this campaign and we are happy to take on this challenge." noted.

The participation of "The Time Machine" in this relaunch was supported by Helvetas Swiss Intercooperation and GIZ.
