Leopoldo (Polo) holds a degree in Communication Sciences from Universidad de San Martín de Porres. As a scholarship recipient of the Carolina Foundation, he obtained an Executive Master's Degree in Sustainable Development and Corporate Responsibility from the Escuela de Organización Industrial de Madrid (EOI), Spain.
Polo has technical expertise in climate change vulnerability, adaptation and mitigation, as well as in GHG (Greenhouse Gas) inventories. Among the projects for which he has implemented communication strategies coordinating interdisciplinary groups of specialists are PROCLIM, PRAA (Andean Regional Project for Adaptation to Climate Change/Adaptation to the impact of accelerated glacier retreat in the tropical Andes), PACCPerú (Climate Change Adaptation Program), and events such as InterCLIMA, as well as activities related to the Second National Communication on Climate Change of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.
Also, as Creative Director of Libélula, Polo has extensive experience in the development of publications, graphic and audiovisual pieces, oriented to environmental issues and with diverse approaches that facilitate access to multiple audiences and cultural contexts.
