Biologist from Universidad Central de Venezuela, with a Master’s degree in Natural Resources Planning and Management from the University of Cornell (Ithaca, New York). She held positions as program director, project coordinator and advisor for organizations linked to environmental issues, both at the private and public sector, mainly in Venezuela, Peru and the US.

She has experience in planning issues, environmental and natural resources policies; sustainable development and environmental management in the Andean sub-region (Peru, Venezuela, Bolivia, Ecuador and Colombia). She held the position as Environment and Sustainable Development Program Director of the Andean Community General Secretariat. Between 2008 and 2011, she was Development and Environment Director at the Universidad Antonio Ruiz de Montoya, where she currently teaches, as she runs the Planning for Climate Change Project (PlanCC) from Libelula Communications, Environment and Development.
