Climate change and COP 20, strategy for your business”, a workshop organized by Libélula and the Peruvian-Mexican Chamber of Commerce.
Last Thursday, August 14, the conference “Climate change and COP 20, strategy for your business”, organized by Libélula and the Peruvian-Mexican Chamber of Commerce, was organized by Javier Perla, manager of Libélula's Sustainable Business area, who began the meeting with a presentation of the various areas of work, the team that makes it up and the actions that are carried out on a daily basis.
During his speech, Javier explained to the attendees that now more than ever, governments are more interested in the responsible use of natural resources. The world and companies are living a green revolution and Libélula's role is to facilitate the process.
Another important point of his presentation was to highlight the high consumer demand for products derived from responsible companies and the fact that more and more people want to know what kind of impact the products they consume have. On the other hand, the trend in the business sector is to increasingly reduce its environmental footprint in order to generate a profit that can be translated into cost reduction.
Finally, he urged attendees to learn more about the largest climate event on the planet: COP 20, to be held this year in Lima, because this meeting will bring successful experiences and lessons for the private sector.
