National Water Authority recognizes the work of Esmeralda Corp.

Last Thursday, June 16, the “Water Culture Award 2016” was presented. This recognition, carried out within the framework of the collaboration agreement signed between the National Water Authority (ANA) y Backus Foundation, The purpose of this program is to recognize and value successful experiences in promoting the efficient use, conservation and protection of the quality and quantity of water resources.
The award ceremony was held at ANA's headquarters and was attended by public authorities from the Agriculture and Irrigation, Environment, Education and Culture sectors, diplomats, representatives of private institutions, researchers and specialists in water resources.
Juan Carlos Sevilla Gildemeister, head of the ANA, emphasized that this first edition of the National Water Culture Award 2016 seeks to create awareness and culture with respect to the importance of the Integrated Water Resources Management in favor of the quality of life of citizens, the care of an indispensable resource for national development and the mitigation of the effects of climate change.
The company Esmeralda Corp was awarded the Water Culture Award 2016 in the medium-sized private company category, which was awarded by Juan Carlos Sevilla Gildemeister.
Environmental project recognized “Industrialized Effluent Treatment Plant: Reuse of Wastewater from Esmeralda Corp S.A.C.”The company's "Water and Energy Efficiency" program, as an example of efficient use, savings, conservation, quality protection and increased availability of water resources at the corporate level.
