2019 National Water Culture Award

The National Water Authority invites you to participate in a new edition of the #PNationalWaterCulture2019 Award. This award seeks to recognize and value successful experiences that promote the efficient use, saving, conservation, protection of the quality or increase in the availability of water resources. And to foster a water culture that promotes the valuation of water as a finite, scarce and vulnerable resource, through the dissemination of successful experiences that are submitted to the contest.

British Green Challenge: Recycling campaign
[Aug. 1- Aug. 17]
Británico together with Recicla,pe and Libélula Cambio Climático are joining forces to collect all PET material from schools in San Isidro, Miraflores, Surco, Monterrico, San Borja, Camacho, San Juan de Lurigancho, Lima, Los Jardines, Pueblo Libre and San Miguel. The center that recycles the most will receive a prize for their dedication and commitment to the care of the environment. Check your center's collection dates at the event and participate in this recycling campaign.
Corporate sustainability contest

The Lima Chamber of Commerce and Economía Verde invite Peru's green SMEs to participate in the <> which aims to recognize this new way of doing sustainable business, which will inspire more businesses to replicate this approach, and recognize their positive contribution to our society.
All the SMEs registered in the directory of economíaverde.pe will be able to participate in the contest. Entries are due by August 25, 2019.

Webinar: Strengthening national monitoring, reporting and verification systems towards more ambitious climate commitments

This webinar, co-organized by LEDS LAC and the NDC Partnership, is the second in a series of six webinars focused on reviewing and increasing the ambition of climate commitments. This Wednesday, August 7, we will focus on identifying, through country experiences, possible linkages between the NDC cycle and the continuous improvement of national systems for monitoring, reporting and verification (MRV) of greenhouse gas emissions and removals.

Business Leaders for Climate Action

The Climate Action Network Organization, with the support of the Embassy of Chile in Peru, Pro Chile and the Peruvian-Chilean Chamber of Commerce, is organizing the Cocktail: Business Leaders for Climate Action, which will be held on Wednesday, August 7, 2019, starting at 7:30 p.m., at the Hyatt Hotel in Lima. The event will feature speeches by the Ambassador of Chile, Roberto Ibarra Garcia, the Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Energy and Mines, and Ministry of Agriculture. The event will be organized with the support of Enel Green Power, Yara and Sigdo Koppers Engineering and Construction.

Sustainable Peru
