Yesterday was held the workshop for journalists “Green Growth, the new challenge for Peru”, organized by PAGE PERU, an initiative that seeks sustained environmental growth, human welfare and social equality.

Our country is the second of 30 in the world to receive support from United Nations agencies to promote green growth.

The main speaker at the event was Jason Eis, Deputy Director of the Global Green Growth Institute office in London. Didier Trebuca, Resident Representative a.i. of UNDP, Daniel Ysau Maurate Vice Minister of Employment Promotion and Labor Training of MTPE, Carmen Moreno Director of the ILO for the Andean Countries, Royer Loyola General Director of Evaluation, Valuation and Financing of Natural Heritage of MINAM.

As planned, renowned journalists and personalities such as Mónica Delta, Mávila Huertas and Gonzalo Carranza, who together with Maria Paz Cigarán, Libélula's general manager, provided the journalists attending the workshop with the appropriate tools to communicate, and expressed the importance and contribution that should be acquired as opinion leaders.

All the speakers and panelists answered the questions of the journalists who attended the workshop.

Finally, the national contest for journalists was announced, where the winner will win an all-expenses-paid study trip to Europe for training in green growth. The rules will be published on February 20 on the PAGE Peru website. www.pageperu.org.pe.
