We highlight the business meeting for the generation of sustainable employment organized by Perú Responsable, «Ciclo Siete», a full week dedicated to sustainability and the diploma course on climate change management organized by the Peruvian Climate Change Observatory.

- [April 4 - 10:00 am] Landscape restoration: an option for resilient, low-emission rural development
This webinar, organized by LEDSLAC, will explain the context and advances in landscape restoration in Central America, as well as the costs, benefits and co-benefits. The case of forest restoration in Guatemala will be presented. The objectives of landscape restoration are aligned with national rural development objectives and are compatible with other national or international initiatives that countries have joined. Such is the case of the Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) in the framework of the Paris Agreement, the process of preparation for Reducing Deforestation and Forest Degradation REDD+; Strategies to Reduce Illegal Logging (FLEGT), and actions for adaptation to climate change, among others.

The Responsible Peru Program of the Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion and the Peruvian-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry, within the framework of the VIII Summit of the Americas, are organizing this event in which the initiatives in favor of sustainable, modern and inclusive development in the country will be discussed in depth.
- [April 7 - 03:00 pm] Start of the Climate Change Management Diploma Program
The Center for Geographical and Geopolitical Research of Peru and the Peruvian Society of Geographical and Ecological Engineering organize this diploma course aimed at professionals in engineering, architecture, social sciences, planners and decision makers. It will strengthen capacities for the implementation of the climate strategy under the commitments made in the Paris Agreement and adaptation processes. starts on April 7 and ends on September 1.

The VIII Summit of the Americas creates a space for academia, politicians, businessmen, professionals and organized civil society to meet to exchange opinions, achievements, obstacles and possibilities in the development of non-conventional renewable energies. Organized by the Peruvian Environmental Observatory.

The purpose of World Bicycle Day is to raise awareness in society to use this two-wheeled, ecological and economical vehicle, which is used by millions of people around the world as a means of transportation, replacing motorized vehicles. The use of bicycles protects the environment and people's health.
- [April 21-27] Cycle Seven: Latin American Sustainability Week
Ciclo Siete will be the Week for Sustainability Latin America, will feature events and experiences to strengthen sustainability through different activities that will seek to generate synergies, commitments for sustainable development and provide spaces to raise awareness about social and environmental issues. The initiative seeks the participation of families, students, designers, consumers, organizations, cities and sustainability enthusiasts to make visible and generate good practices, promoting shared value.

It was initiated in 1970 in the United States, Canada and several Western European countries, with the purpose of raising awareness about the fragility and finiteness of our planet, as well as mobilizing decision makers and citizens towards environmentally responsible actions. Since 1990 it has been celebrated in Peru, initially at the initiative of non-governmental organizations, today as an expression of general interest.
